چکیده

Water scarcity and water quality degradation are exacerbated by climate change in all countries, including Pakistan. The use of agriculture is one the most predominant resources, so reducing consumption improving resource management utmost importance. In past few decades, excessive irrigation has led to severe reduced quality. This study determined requirements for cotton, rice, wheat, using CROPWAT model Southern Punjab (Multan District). area, evapotranspiration ranged from 1.8 10.24 mm/day, while effective rainfall 2 31.3 mm. Rice, wheat each required 996.4, 623.3, 209.5 mm irrigation, respectively. Among total net was 72.4, 67.8, 44.1 mm, respectively, gross 103.5, 99.8, 63 showed a moderately useful result identifying needs Punjab. emphasizes need groundwater harvesting technologies implement system that reduces shortages.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Effects of salinity and irrigation water management on soil and tomato in drip irrigation

In this research, the effects of irrigation with saline and fresh water through drip irrigation method and using two irrigation management strategies: M1, M2 (M1 is irrigation with fresh water in alternative with saline water, M2 is saline water in first half time of each irrigation event and fresh water in the second half), on the yield, water productivity (WP), soil salinity, plant height...

Water requirement of crops in Khuzestan province

One of the effective steps in use of water resources is accurate estimation of plants water requirement. Lack of accurate estimation of this amount leads to water loss and failure to achieve optimum yield, reduced potential of production, soil resources degradation by too much irrigation or lack of enough leaching and salinization of soils by irrigation less than necessary level, which would ul...
